Om Florentina
A stay with us is a perfect combination between a loving home and a hundepension. During a døgnpasning or dagspasning you’ll get a 1-to-1 level of care for your dog, but also lots of activities everyday to keep them satisfied mentally & physically.
Think in the lines of: play that engages their breed specific insticts, some agility exercises like jumping onto park benches, making them engage their smell by finding food in the grass or engagement games so they may even react less to other dogs around us! I like to do this on single walks as well (luftning service)
My own social and well-mannered dog loves companions and would love to welcome yours into our home in Ørestad, where we have access to a variety of nature & parks where we regularly have long fulfilling walks. Please be aware when booking that your dog will be in a home with another dog ☺️
If you’re curious what we do, we are very transparent on Instagram @giphythewhippy where you can see current dogs in my care.
I can realistically take care of 3 dogs at a time (2 guests + my resident dog) at a level where each feels cared for, granted that the chemistry is there between the dogs.
When boarding (døgnpasning) I don’t have a strict routine, as I like to mold the day after our guest. But, you can expect that your dog will have a minimum of 3 potty breaks per day and one long walk in the middle of the day when we usually balance between some play, some freedom to sniff to their hearts desire, run or whatever may fulfill them. And on the way back home, when they are super tired, we do some structured walking drills and engagement games with food rewards. What I will not do is any sort of training, as I am not a certified dog trainer. This is simply my own routine, tested with previous dog guests of different breeds which worked and created the happiest and most tired dogs!
I have experience with dogs of all ages (oldest was 14) and different breeds and sizes: whippets, australian shepherds, poodles, scottish terriers, french bulldogs & mixed breeds.
I don’t own a car, but I have a bike trailer, a bike basket in the front and a dog backpack, all tested by mine and our friends’ dogs. I mostly move around by public transport though, if we need to leave Ørestad.
Since 2023, when I got my whippet girl, Giphy, I became obsessed with dogs and learning everything about their wellbeing. Through our dog training community, I met many like-minded owners and took care of many of their dogs. Initially it started as a free service that we’d return to each other. Now, seeing how much both my dog and I love having guests to play with, I’d love to turn it into a part time job 🥰
That also means I have ample experience with puppies and I know how hard it can be on you, the human. If you need a break from them, I can take them on a tiring walk so you can have a breather!
Giphy 🐶, me 👩🏻 & my boyfriend 🧔🏻 live in a 4 room apartment in Ørestad. Here we own & use metal and soft crates, in case that is your dog’s preference as their safe space, but we are also fine with free-roaming if your dog is trained in that way. The dogs are allowed to sleep with us and to be on the couch. We try to keep a tidy place, so we clean the dogs’ paws before the last walk of the day.
All I ask from your dogs is that they can stay at home alone without trouble, I’d need the list of words/commands they know so I can use them (any language is fine) and that they have a good chemistry with Giphy.
Any questions prior to booking, shoot me a message or this intro would get even longer!
